PENGARUH PENGGUNAAN MEDIA DIGITAL BERBASIS VIDEO INTERAKTIF TERHADAP KEMAMPUAN MENULIS TEKS EKSPOSISI SISWA SMA 1 BULUKUMBA

This study aims to determine the effect of interactive video-based digital media on the expository text writing ability of senior high school students. A quantitative approach with a quasi-experimental design (pretest-posttest control group design) was employed. The population consisted of all Grade XI students of SMA Negeri 1 Bulukumba, Bulukumba Regency, South Sulawesi Province in the 2023/2024 academic year; 64 students were sampled and divided into an experimental group (32 students) and a control group (32 students). The instrument was an expert-validated expository writing test with a Cronbach Alpha reliability of 0.89. An independent t-test revealed a significant difference between the experimental class (mean = 82.50) and the control class (mean = 71.25), with t = 5.847 and p = 0.001 < 0.05. The most notable improvements were in the content and text organisation aspects. Therefore, interactive video-based digital media has a positive and significant effect on improving expository text writing ability.
