Abstract

HELDA YUSDIANA L. 2023. Study of Teachers' Teaching Motivation at Madrasah Aliyah Al-Ikhlas Gantinga, Turatea District, Jeneponto Regency. This research examines the teaching motivation of teachers at Madrasah Aliyah Al-Ikhlas Gantinga, Turatea District, Jeneponto Regency. The problem in this research is: what is the description of the teaching motivation of teachers at Madrasah Aliyah Al-Ikhlas Gantinga. Based on these problems, this research aims to determine the teaching motivation of teachers at Madrasah Aliyah Al-Ikhlas Gantinga.
The approach used in this research is a quantitative descriptive approach, namely trying to study the teaching motivation of teachers at Madrasah Aliyah Al-Ikhlas Gantinga. The population in this study were all 18 Madrasah Aliyah Al-Ikhlas Gantinga teachers. Data collection was carried out using questionnaire techniques as the main instrument, and accompanied by observation, interviews and documentation techniques as supporting instruments.
The results of the research show that teachers' teaching motivation, namely: (a) intrinsic motivation from the aspect of responsibility, there are still teachers who do not create lesson units. The achievement aspect shows that the majority of teachers take training related to developing teaching abilities. The discipline aspect shows that the majority of teachers are punctual in teaching, (b) extrinsic motivation from the self-development aspect there are still teachers who have never been sent by the school to attend educational seminars. The wage/salary aspect shows that teachers are happy with the amount of salary they receive every month.
