Penerapan Metode Diskusi Terhadap Peningkatan Prestasi Belajar Pada MahaMahasiswa STAI YAPNAS Jeneponto

The problem in this research is whether applying the discussion method will increase learning achievement for STAI YAPNAS Jeneponto students. This research uses a classroom action research (PTK) design. The research subjects were 20 PAI students, consisting of 12 male students and 8 female students. Using an instrument in the form of a learning outcomes evaluation test. This classroom action research design was carried out in 2 cycles with each cycle going through four stages, namely: (1) planning, (2) implementing actions, (3) observing, and (4) reflecting. The results of pre-action research in learning activities showed that the average level of classical completion was 30.00% and individual absorption was 67.06% and in the first cycle it showed that students and teachers in learning activities had an average level of 45.00% classical completion and individual absorption capacity 60.91%. In the second cycle it increased to classical completion 80.00% and individual absorption 81.90%, and for the first cycle student observation assessment, namely 57.14, it increased to
92.86 in the second cycle, and for the first cycle teacher observation assessment it was
67.86 increased in cycle II to 89.29. Based on the analysis of test results in pre-action for classical completion 30.00% and individual absorption capacity 67.06%, in cycle I 11 out of 20 students completed classical, 45.00% completion classical and individual absorption capacity 60.91%, whereas in 18 out of 20 students completed cycle II, 90.00% of them completed classical and their classical absorption was 82.90%. Based on the results of this research, it can be concluded that the use of the discussion method can improve student learning outcomes and increase learning achievement at STAI YAPNAS Jeneponto.
